USA flag engagement

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!  While you're at it, don't forget to thank a veteran.

First wedding of Spring

After rain and more rain, and the weeks of rain that were yet to come, Liz and Corey's wedding day was the perfect start to spring.  Almost warm, not a drop of rain and flowers just starting to peek their heads out.  The ceremony was held at St. Pauls with a reception at Greystone Fields one of the nicest venues tucked away in Butler County.  Windows everywhere for that soft natural light, a gazebo, a waterfall, benches and arbors.  They've thought of everything.  And with a whole lot of help from my wonderful friend and fellow photographer we tried to think of everything too.

Making rainbows

Rain, rain, go away.  I have to admit, I was more than a little bummed when we had to cancel our super fun outdoor shoot for this family that I met last fall.  After days and days of rain and downpours on the day of our shoot we decided to move everyone inside their house.
I had remembered the kids' mom telling me she had an old house.  What an understatement!  They had the coolest house I had ever seen.  Room after room with rich woodwork, pocket doors, giant windows.  It was THE BEST HOUSE EVER.
Add some cousins on both sides and a little boy with his first (well not exactly first) pair of glasses and the funny way he kept pushing them up and viola, all that rain made a rainbow.
